Contestants of the fifteenth Leadenhall Market Pancake Race organised by the Lamb Tavern, flipped for victory this lunchtime in the City of London's historic venue (February 13).

Besuited flippers donned bowler hats as they ran in teams of four people for a chance to win prizes, and their name engraved on the coveted Golden Frying Pan trophy.

High drama ensued when a man slipped on the cobblestones and many dropped pancakes along the way, though all of which failed to dampen their enthusiasm.

After the race, the winning team said, 'They didn't expect to win', posed for photos and showed off the trophy.
