On February 20, 2024, in Xi’an, Shaanxi, the traditional Shehuo performance dazzled with its vibrant atmosphere. The streets were packed with people, filled with joy and excitement.

Traditional folk performances captivate onlookers, with drums resounding, dragons swirling, and lions dancing. Various forms of folk art intoxicate the senses. People follow along, singing and dancing, spreading laughter and joy in the air.

As a centuries-old practice that reminds people of the importance of agriculture, Shehuo literally translates as "Earth and Fire", during which people celebrate festivals and pray for a good harvest in the coming year through a wide variety of folkloric juggling programs such as stilt shows and lion dances.
