Westminster buildings lit-up in blue and gold for Ukraine on second anniversary of Russian invasion
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Houses of Parliament were lit up in the colours of the Ukraine flag on Saturday evening in solidarity with the nation's people as the second anniversary since the full-scale Russian invasion (February 24).
The projections on the MOD also featured the words of the national salute, 'Slava Ukraini', meaning 'Glory to Ukraine'.
Britain has pledged more support for Ukraine's military efforts, with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to offer £2.5bn to the country over the coming year.
