Crews from CFD 4 and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry remain actively engaged at the scene, diligently monitoring the fire's progression.

Additionally, measures are being taken to contain the blaze, including the implementation of plows to establish a fire break. Fortunately, there are currently no homes or structures in immediate danger, and firefighters are maintaining vigilance to address any potential developments swiftly.

Residents in the vicinity are advised to expect smoke in the area throughout the day and potentially beyond.
