Firefighters Conduct 80 Interventions amidst Severe Floods in Vicenza, Italy

The interventions by the firefighters for the bad weather that has hit the city, the province, and the region continue. At 3:30 PM, over 80 rescue operations were carried out, including the evacuation of 7 people who were stranded in a stable in Montebello in the lamination basin area. They were evacuated with the Drago 154 helicopter and a rubber boat.
10 postal workers who were trapped at the sorting center on via Marosticana due to rising water levels after the start of their workday were also evacuated with a rubber boat by the SAF (Speleological Alpine Fluvial) teams of the firefighters. Currently, 13 teams of firefighters are engaged in operations mainly focused on draining flooded areas, basements, garages, and taverns.
Another 80 interventions are still pending.
