The combat team of the Tsabar Battalion has been operating in recent weeks in a raid in the Zaytoun area in northern Gaza Strip.

The soldiers located and destroyed offensive tunnels, infrastructure, and captured buildings belonging to Hamas, as well as launchers from which rockets were fired towards the surrounding settlements, and launchers with rockets ready to be fired.

During the combat attack in the area, the commander of a platoon in the Tsabar Battalion, Lieutenant Yiftach Shahar, and the commander of a department in the Tsabar Battalion, Lieutenant Itai Saif, who led the battalion's combat with courage and professionalism, fell. In the attack, other soldiers were also injured.

The soldiers of the battalion continued the fight, while destroying the captured location where the event took place and continued the raid on other Hamas targets in the area.
