This is the impressive moment a woman's smartphone still functioned after falling from the 27th floor of a building.

The resident dropped her handset from the apartment window ledge in Fuyang, China, on February 28.

Footage shows the woman recording a video when she suddenly lost grip of the phone.

The device continued to record throughout the freefall, capturing its descent from the high-rise building until it reached the ground.

The phone suffered cracks and dents but miraculously remained operational despite the dramatic plunge and impact.

The owner of the phone said: 'I won't bother repairing it. I plan to take this opportunity to exchange it for another phone of the same brand.'
