This is the heart-stopping moment a railway worker drags an injured motorcyclist off the tracks just seconds before a train rushes past in Vietnam.

Dashcam footage captures the quick-thinking staff member pulling the wounded rider to safety on the Hanoi–Ho Chi Minh City railway line at around 12:05 am on September 21.

Two gatekeepers from Nghia Binh Railway Joint Stock Company, Nguyen Huy Hoang and Nguyen Son Oanh, had already closed the safety gates as they waited for the passage of train SE6.

However, a speeding motorbike crashed through the barrier and fell onto the tracks just as the locomotive was approaching.

The rider was rushed to the hospital, while the motorbike sustained severe damage.

Authorities confirmed that the passenger train was forced to halt for approximately 30 minutes for a safety inspection before continuing its journey.

In another incident, a truck driver stuck on a level crossing in Haiphong narrowly avoided being struck by an oncoming train on April 8.

The motorist attempted to lift the automatic barrier, but when it would not budge, he quickly reversed the vehicle just seconds before the train reached the junction, narrowly escaping disaster.
