During the South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festivals held in Austin, Texas in U.S. from March 8 to 16, an extended reality (XR) experience exhibition was held. It brings the attendees into the virtual world.
The projects presented in the exhibition emphasize storytelling and art in an immersive world.
Virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies are finding new ways to enhance people's ability to perceive the world and are redefining how they experience the world.
One of the VR films is "Escape to Shanghai." Created by Illinois Holocaust Museum and the award-winning production company East City Films, Escape to Shanghai chronicles the story of holocaust survivor Doris Fogel as she and her family fled war-torn Europe and found refuge in Shanghai.
