STORYLINE:
The Hyper SSR, a pure electric supercar produced by the Chinese carmaker GAC Aion, recently held a track day at Bira Circuit in Thailand's Chonburi province.
It was Hyper SSR's first overseas test drive event.

"The car is so amazing. First impression is the acceleration. It's so good, so fast, so claiming 1,200 horsepower is right and perfect. And it's like nothing I ever experienced before. Secondly, the braking. It's a ceramic brake. It's a very high performance."

"Of course, I actually own a Lamborghini and a Porsche as well, but these are combustion cars. I think it cannot be compared. And absolutely, this car is much faster and it's more affordable."
Thailand has long been a major vehicle manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia due to its industrial chain and geographical advantages.
GAC Aion officially entered the Thai market in 2023. It has started construction of its Thai plant since February this year.
