In Pristina a march was held as a sign of revolt against the murder of Erona Cokli at the Center for Social Work in Ferizaj. The protest organized by the Collective for Feminist Thought and Action started from "Zahir Pajaziti" square with calls to stop the killing of women and their mistreatment, as well as the slogans "Freedom and security for women", "Women revolt", "We don't we forget", "We are not silent, we are not patient." Dashurie Ukesmajli, a member of the organizing council of the protest, said that they came out to protest against the institutional negligence for the protection of women's lives and rights according to the law and international conventions. She has described the murder of Erona Colkit in Ferizaj as a failure of the justice system, therefore they demand the resignation of the responsible heads of the relevant institutions and urgent actions for full legal protection of women. Ukesmajli also counted the demands of the protesters for the protection and rights of women, saying that they will become guardians of these demands and achieve full justice to prevent other cases.

“We are expressing our revolt against the inability and negligence of our institutions to protect the lives and rights of women guaranteed by the law in force as well as all international conventions... We cannot accept that our girls and women are the next victims of femicide as a result of violence and murder by their partners or ex-husbands. We are seeing that the murder cases of Marigona Osmani, Dardan Krivaqa and Arber Sejdiu have not yet received an epilogue because individuals of this society and state officials continue to suspect that they have taken revenge on the criminals. We demand the resignation of the leaders of the institutions for their incompetence and negligence and not assessing the dangerousness of the cases that are already ending tragically even in state offices. Statuses on social networks are not enough, we demand efficiency and full implementation of the law, we demand justice and immediate action so that every girl and woman in the process of separation are in full legal protection or give women the right to defend themselves even though it is the last thing every woman would want. Our urgent demands are these, detectors in the institutions responsible for the protection of the welfare of girls and women, efficient security in the centers for social work, we demand that the courts be independent and decide objectively according to the law and the evidence", said Ukesmajli.

Another member of the Feminist Collective, Bjeshka Guri, emphasized that the state should treat women's safety as a national emergency.

“We are here to ask this government and this state not to consider us as second-class citizens, we ask that the state prioritize the deep insecurity in which it has left the girls and women of this country and announce the issue of femicide as a national emergency, we do not tolerate dry statements and performance as this government's response to the extreme violence and insecurity with which women live. We cannot tolerate that the women of Kosovo are violated, mistreated and killed by the criminal men that this society and state is producing, we cannot tolerate that the women breathe in a state of alarm as to when their turn will come," said Guri.

The suspect for the murder of his ex-wife, Valon Aliu (36), appeared before the Ferizaj Basic Court on April 12, where he was sentenced to one month of detention. In addition to the tragic fate of Erona Cokli, her 15-year-old brother was also injured at the scene, but his life was not in danger. Doctors have announced that the minor's bullet was removed from his right forearm.
