England's Calum Fitzgerald winner of Qatar Open Amateur Golf Championship organized by Qatar Golf Association on Saturday April 20, 2024. The three-day event was held from April 18 to 20 and around 100 golfers from 33 countries took part.

England's Calum Fitzgerald carded 76 on Saturday in the final round to win the Qatar Open Amateur Golf Championship of Qatar Golf Association at the Doha Golf Club.
The 20-year-old, whose father is based in Qatar for last 14 years and who was introduced to the game along with his twin sister by the father, earned the right to play in the prestigious Commercial Bank Qatar Masters 2025, a DP World Tour event, which takes place at the same place.
Qatar's Saleh Al Kaabi finished in the second place ahead of Ireland's Keith Crawley, who finished third.
Pakistan's Omar Khalid Hussain secured fourth position and had finished sixth in last year’s event.
The Qatar Open Amateur championship is one of the oldest golf competitions in Qatar and was launched in 1983 and attracts the world’s best amateur golfers who showcased their skills at the picturesque venue, over a period of three days.
Around 100 golfers representing 30 countries took part in the tournament’s 38th edition.
Welshman Joe Jones won the last year’s title but did not take part in the 2024 edition.
