Connecticut, USA - April 10, 2024

This footage illustrates wildlife rehabilitators team bringing two Black Vultures back to their natural habitat after rescuing them in Connecticut, USA.

According to the team these two birds got intoxicated by dumpster diving on eclipse day and getting themselves into something that was fermented enough to cause severe intoxication. Birds were unable to balance, stand, kept passing out or in team's eyes, actively dying. After testing it turned out that "they were too drunk to fly."

After a night of good sleep, enough liquids and a big breakfast the next day birds' condition was normalized and they were released into wild and immediately joined up with their colony.
