Drum tower collapse causes 1 death after thunderstorm
On April 29th at around 4:00 PM local time, a sudden thunderstorm with strong winds struck parts of Kaili City in the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province, southern China. This weather event led to the collapse of a wooden drum tower at the intersection of Kaikai Avenue and Kaixuan Road in the Yatang Street area of Kaili City. Unfortunately, one person who sought shelter inside the drum tower during the storm lost their life.
However, there were no other injuries reported. Currently, relevant follow-up work is underway to address the aftermath of the incident.
