The National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED) has reported several incidents caused by rain and strong winds in various parts of Guatemala.

According to CONRED reports, flooding was recorded in the Las Champas hamlet in El Progreso. Images depict torrents of water flooding the streets of the area.

Additionally, CONRED reported flooding in several homes in Malacatancito, Huehuetenango.

The incidents highlight the vulnerability of communities to the adverse effects of extreme weather conditions, prompting swift response efforts from authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of affected individuals.

CONRED continues to monitor the situation closely and provides necessary assistance to areas impacted by the inclement weather.
