The recognition of Palestine as a state by Norway, Spain and Ireland has won the gratitude from the people in the Gaza Strip, who also call for concrete actions for ceasefire.

The governments of the three European countries announced on Wednesday their official recognition of Palestine as a state.

This move comes as the people of Gaza continue to endure the devastating impacts of the ongoing conflict and seek immediate ceasefire.

The people of Gaza welcomed the move, and expressed their gratitude for the international support.

Alaa Abu Rajila, another Gaza resident, echoed the sentiment.

Iyad Qudayh, a Gaza resident, expressed hope that the recognition would bring about tangible changes.
