During the presentation of his latest book, Javier Milei criticised those who promote and defend legal, safe and free abortion. He assured that it was already applied during ancient Egypt. "It is an agenda that is more than three thousand years old and it is a totally murderous agenda," he said before thousands of libertarian activists, government officials and libertarian legislators.

He said this after quoting from Exodus, the second book of the Bible. "You will find that already at that time it was a mechanism (abortion) to massacre populations that the Egyptians were using to liquidate the Jews," he said. And then he shot: "those who think they are so advanced with the agenda of abortion is an agenda that is more than three thousand years old and it is a totally murderous agenda".
He came to this quote after elaborating on the British economist Thomas Malthus' (1766-1834) explanation of the iron law of wages. "As per capita income went up the passion of the sexes led people to have more children, and as they had more children marginal productivity went down and there was a point at which that found an equilibrium. And if the population expanded beyond that point, then real wages were destroyed and people starved," he explained.

"How did Malthius come up with the idea of correcting this, with birth control, the modern versions of which are the 'abortionists'. The Exodus, you will find that already at that time it was a mechanism for massacring populations that the Egyptians were using to liquidate the Jews."
"(...) Those who think they are so advanced with the abortion agenda is an agenda that is more than three thousand years old and is an absolutely murderous agenda, by a couple of fools who did the math wrong."
