Memorial Day 2024 Severe Thunderstorm/Torrential Rain & Lightning - Easton, Maryland
Video of the last gasp of severe weather on Memorial Day, Monday May 27, 2024. As a line of severe storms moved across Maryland and Virginia, tornado and severe thunderstorm watches issued earlier in the day, were canceled as the line if storms crossed the Chesapeake Bay. However, at about 9:30pm, one last severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the National Weather Service for Talbot County on the eastern shore of Maryland. In its final push over Easton, the storm dumped an incredible amount of rain in about an hour, possibly up to 1.5 inches, and produced vibrant lighting and gusty winds.
