A woman in Kalempang Village, Sidrap Regency, South Sulawesi named Farida (50 years old) was found dead in the stomach of a 6 meter long python, Friday 7 June 2024.

The victim was reported missing by her husband.

Kalempang Village Head Suardi Rosi said the victim's husband reported his wife missing last Thursday 6 June 2024.

The victim's husband asked the village residents to help find his wife's whereabouts. While searching, residents found traces of a python in the plantation. Residents also found Farida's belongings.

Residents then flocked to look for the python in the bushes. The snake was found with a large stomach and could not move much.

Residents immediately opened the python's stomach and found the victim's body in the snake's stomach.

After successfully finding the victim, said Suardi, residents evacuated and took the victim to hospital for examination.
