Billions of swarming flies plague beach goers of the Great Salt Lake

Buy video

This video shows billions of small flying insects along the shores of the great salt lake outside of Salt Lake City. A friend invited me to go photograph the sunset, but when we arrived, we were quickly greeted with swarms of these disgusting insects. They covered everything, including our bodies and my camera. It felt like nothing was safe from being covered by the insects. Thankfully, they didn't bite and were harmless aside from getting stuck in our clothes and hair.
