Staff throws coffee at customer in heated dispute at Chinese cafe
A staff member threw coffee powder at a customer in a heated dispute at a coffee shop in eastern China.
CCTV footage filmed in Shanghai on June 17, shows a dispute escalating as dialogue between a staff member and a customer grew heated. Suddenly, the staff member lost control, throwing coffee powder at the customer, covering her face.
The employee was visibly agitated during the incident, repeatedly shouting, "Go to complain!"
The female customer, despite being splattered with coffee powder, maintained composure and received assistance from other patrons to wipe off the powder from her face using tissues. Fortunately, the action did not result in physical harm to the customer.
As tensions escalated, the customer called for fairness, suggesting retaliation by throwing coffee powder back at the female staff member. In a fit of anger, the staff member proceeded to pour coffee onto her own face before the customer left the scene.
Following the incident, Manner Coffee Shop swiftly responded by dismissing the involved staff member and pledged to strengthen internal management to ensure a safe and harmonious environment for customers.
