Chongqing zoo celebrates giant pandas' 5th birthday with unique hotpot cake feast
On June 23rd, Chongqing Zoo hosted a unique celebration as its beloved giant pandas known as Shuangshuang, Chongchong, Xixi, and Qingqing marked their fifth birthday together.
The zoo staff meticulously planned a birthday party adorned with fresh decorations, creating a festive atmosphere. The highlight of the event was a specially crafted nine-grid hotpot cake. Constructed with bamboo, the cake resembled a hotpot filled with apples, watermelons, cucumbers, bamboo shoots, and other "ingredients." Guided by their keepers, the four pandas gathered around to enjoy the birthday feast, emitting soft munching sounds amidst a warm and delightful scene.
Since their birth on June 23, 2019, these four pandas have garnered widespread attention. They are not only stars of Chongqing Zoo but also significant ambassadors for global giant panda conservation efforts.
This celebration not only commemorated a milestone in their growth but also served as a powerful testament to panda conservation efforts worldwide.
