STORYLINE:

After seven years of construction, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link opened to traffic on Sunday. The 24km cross-sea passage in south China features two bridges, two artificial islands, and an underwater tunnel.
  
Satellite images released by the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, as well as the Chinese Academy of Sciences, have shown the status of the construction process.
