Seychelles: PLA Navy hospital ship arrives in Seychelles
Seychelles - July 5, 2024
Storyline:
The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy hospital ship "Peace Ark" arrived in Seychelles on Friday for friendly visits and medical services.
This is also the first time in 14 years that the hospital ship is visiting Seychelles again.
The hospital ship sailed into the Port Victoria of Seychelles at 10:00 local time. The Seychelles government held a grand welcome ceremony at the dock.
During the seven-day medical services, the Chinese doctors will treat patients on the ship, while sending several medical teams to local hospitals and communities to carry out inspection services and academic exchanges. The expert teams will also provide first-aid training for the Seychelles Coast Guard.
Cultural activities and a basketball game with the Seychelles side will also be held during the visit.
