Instagram user 'trev__travels' documented an incredible 26-hour trek on Volcán de Acatenango. The journey covered 13 miles with a total elevation change of 16,000 feet, reaching a maximum elevation of 13,040 feet.

Starting at 9 a.m. at 7,900 feet, Trev reached base camp at 12,000 feet by 4 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., he headed to Volcán de Fuego, arriving at the viewpoint by 7:45 p.m. After returning to base camp at 11:30 p.m., he woke at 4 a.m. to summit Acatenango, reaching the peak by 4:45 a.m.

Trev completed the descent by 11 a.m., calling it the coolest adventure of his life and expressing gratitude for everyone involved.

13 miles, 26 hours, 16,000ft of elevation change, max elevation of 13,040ft.

Started at 9am at 7900ft, got to base camp at 4pm (12,000ft), left for Volcán de Fuego at 5:30pm, arrived at viewpoint at 7:45pm, got back to basecamp at 11:30pm, woke up at 4am to summit Volcán de Acatenango, reached the peak (13,040ft) at 4:45am, hiked all the way back down and finished at 11am.

This was the coolest adventure I’ve ever embarked on and I’m so grateful for everything and everyone involved.
