It comes after police were called to reports of a stabbing at the celebration in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The men who died have been named as William Thomas Collins, 47, and Eric Clayton Hodges, 42, both from Huntington Beach, according to reports.

Police were called to the scene at around 11:15pm, and were seen investigating the area until the following morning.

A video shows police cars lined up with flashing lights, a man being led from the scene, someone sitting on the road and fireworks can be heard going off.

Keith Ruiz, 50, heard the commotion from his house, and went out to see what happened.

He said: "I heard the helicopter flying over - I live just on the corner."

"I heard all the sirens."

"We walked over there, and there was a crowd of people. "

"The stabbing had just happened - there was a guy in handcuffs on the sidewalk."
