President Javier Milei and Vice-President Victoria Villarruel joined the Independence Day military parade in an active way, as they were shown together on a national army tank.

Both paraded alongside the armed forces for a few metres on board the military tank that formed part of the presentation. From there, they enthusiastically greeted the people who came to witness the display carried out as part of the 9 July celebrations.

The moment took place on Avenida Libertador, which is closed to traffic for this celebration. Milei stood for a few minutes on the tank and, in his characteristic style, harangued the public. Some 7,000 troops were mobilised, including armoured vehicles, motorbikes, trucks and vans.

Led by President Javier Milei, a massive military parade will be held in the city of Buenos Aires to commemorate Independence Day.

Some 7,000 troops from the three Armed Forces and members of the National Security Ministry will take part. The celebration will include 62 aeroplanes that will fly over the city of Buenos Aires from 11 a.m. onwards; tanks, M113 armoured vehicles, and other army and navy vehicles.

There will also be five Navy vessels that make up the Integrated Naval Power, which will be stationed in the docks of the New Port for the public to visit.

Some 350 horses from the historical regiments and canine regiments will take part. Leading the parade will be the Malvinas War Veterans who arrived from most of the provinces.
