A popular bear mascot danced on a stage in the middle of a shopping mall to entertain the crowd in Thailand.

Butterbear, the mascot for a Thai pastry and dessert brand, performed for customers during an event the company held in Emsphere, Bangkok.

Footage shows the cuddly light brown bear gyrating as excited people watched and held their phones to record its performance on July 13.

The plump bear wore a silver suit and a ribbon on its head while shaking its body.

Mall-goer Rattanaporn Chalieon said: 'The bear was so cute. The crowd gathered as close as possible to the stage to watch it dance.'

Butterbear is a beloved mascot from Thailand, associated with a brand specialising in baked goods. It gained immense popularity through dance videos and moves set to K-Pop songs​.
