Hotel staff caught on CCTV using guest’s cosmetics
This is the shocking moment hotel staff were seen on camera allegedly using a guest's cosmetics in Thailand.
The cleaners were tidying the room of a Thai guest when the array of beauty products scattered on her desk appeared to catch their attention on December 28.
CCTV footage shows the trio rifling through the jars of creams, sunscreens, toners and powders during their daily housekeeping duties, amazed by the variety of skincare products on display.
One maid was seen smelling perfumes one by one, complaining that it 'smelled like morphine'.
She then bent down to look at her reflection on the desk mirror before applying eyeshadow on both eyelids.
The angry guest said she was shocked upon viewing the footage in her room in Nakhon Ratchasima province, which she had booked while visiting her hometown for the holidays.
She said: 'I decided to have some fun setting up a camera to film the cleaning staff, but I never imagined that what I would make me afraid to stay at resorts.'
The horrified guest said the maids did not steal anything, but she felt uncomfortable having her personal belongings tampered with.
She added: 'I understand that two of them only looked at my belongings, and I wasn't angry about that. But one woman didn't just look, she actually used my things, and that's not acceptable. I was very angry.
'It was a terrible experience. If this hadn't happened, I thought I would have stayed here every time I go home. I don't sleep at my family's home because I don't have a bedroom there anymore, but after this, I have to reconsider.'
The guest has not clarified if the hotel has reached out to her to apologise.
