Man carries chairs against strong winds outside beachside restaurant in Malaysia
A kind customer fought against strong winds to help restaurant workers save flying chairs and tables.
Footage shows the determined diner holding three blue plastic monoblocs hanging in his arms as he walked against the gust outside a store near a beach in Selangor, Malaysia, on July 12.
He was defiant but the wind eventually blew him away and pulled his shirt off his back.
But the man kept standing and even chased as a table was flung towards parked motorcycles causing some of the two-wheelers to fall.
Other customers took refuge under the roof of a restaurant while he and the workers fixed the furniture in the open space.
No one was hurt from the storm.
Malaysia and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are at the start of their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms. The rudimentary infrastructure often struggles with the deluge, leading to widespread flash floods.
