This is the amusing moment a homeowner spotted a flock of birds enjoying a communal bath in the pots on her balcony.

Footage shows a dozen Asian Glossy Starlings perched on plant pots in Tainan, Taiwan.

The creatures can be seen twittering as they briefly submerge themselves in the water before hopping out to shake their wings under the sun on January 4.

The homeowner said: 'They visit when the weather is nice, but it has been too cold in Tainan these past few days, so I haven't seen them as often.

'I suspect they visited the day after I recorded them as well, as I noticed the water level in the lotus pots has dropped again, but I must have been out when they arrived.'

The Asian Glossy Starling is an invasive species in Taiwan that has established a thriving population in urban areas. Due to its highly adaptable and social nature, it often outcompetes native bird species for vital nesting sites.
