USA: U.S. Air Force KC-135 Refuels U.S. Navy F-18 During RIMPAC 2024 Operations

Amidst the bustling activities of Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2024, the U.S. Air Force has played a crucial role in supporting maritime security efforts. Recently, aircrew from the 927th Air Refueling Wing, Florida, collaborated with the 434th Air Refueling Wing, Indiana, to conduct a successful aerial refueling operation. Using a KC-135 Stratotanker, they refueled a U.S. Navy F-18 Super Hornet near Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
RIMPAC 2024, renowned as the world’s largest international maritime exercise, has attracted participation from 29 nations, involving 40 surface ships, three submarines, and over 150 aircraft alongside 25,000 personnel. The exercise, spanning from June 27 to August 1, serves as a vital platform for enhancing operational readiness and fostering cooperative relationships among global partners.
Now in its 29th iteration since its inception in 1971, RIMPAC continues to provide unparalleled training opportunities aimed at ensuring the security of sea lanes and promoting stability across the world’s oceans.
