Japan - October 19, 2025 Pacific Ocean – A U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer from the 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron carried out aerial refueling with a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 909th Air Refueling Squadron, based at Kadena Air Base, Japan, during a Bomber Task Force mission on October 20, 2025. The refueling took place high above the Pacific Ocean as part of ongoing Bomber Task Force operations in the region. These BTF missions are designed to boost joint force lethality and discourage potential aggression across the Indo-Pacific. The operations demonstrate the U.S. Air Force’s ability to project power and operate globally, at any location and at any time.
