This is the amusing moment a groom who was shorter than his bride used a chair for their first kiss at a wedding.

Misac Mejia, 30, pulled his seat closer to his wife Jane when the priest announced the symbolic kiss at a Catholic church ceremony in Laguna, the Philippines on June 29.

Hilarious footage shows Misac, three inches shorter than Jane partly due to the high heels the bride was wearing, fixing the platform and standing on it before kissing her.

Amused guests cheered as the couple sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Event coordinators from BN Wedding and Events by Bryan and Nina Asi said: ‘We didn't expect the groom to do that. The bride was taller than him.'
