In a swift and coordinated response, a 26-year-old snakebite victim in western India’s Gujarat was successfully evacuated and handed over to emergency medical services last evening, thanks to the prompt actions of the NDRF team.


The incident took place at Village Kadachh in District Porbandar on July 24.


Visuals showed after the snakebite, the rescue team initially transported the victim by boat from Kadach village. Amidst a chaotic scene, they then transferred him to an ambulance for further medical care. The area was crowded, adding urgency to the situation as the team navigated through the commotion to ensure the victim received timely attention.


On the evening of July 24th, a critical situation unfolded in Kadach village, Porbandar, as a 26-year-old man was bitten by a venomous snake. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the District Administration promptly alerted the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team stationed in Porbandar. The NDRF team sprang into action at 7:25 PM, initiating an immediate evacuation operation.


The dedicated team worked diligently to transport the victim to a nearby ambulance, ensuring that he received the necessary medical attention as swiftly as possible. By 8:15 PM, the snakebite victim was safely handed over to the ambulance/EMS personnel. The quick and efficient response from the NDRF team played a crucial role in the victim's timely access to medical care, potentially saving his life.


This incident highlights the critical importance of rapid response and coordination during emergencies. The NDRF's effective handling of the situation underscores their vital role in disaster management and emergency response.
