"With 3 days to go before the opening of the Paris 2024 Olympics, I arrived in the cosmopolis of fashion and art, Paris. My first impression of Paris is the warm welcome by every staff member and volunteer and even signs.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held from July 26 to Aug. 11. Around 10,500 athletes from over 200 countries and regions will converge on France to compete in 329 events.
Meanwhile, more than 15 million tourists are expected to visit Paris during the event, while 4 billion viewers are forecast to tune in to television.
Medals will be decided across 32 disciplines, including four newcomers: surfing, sport climbing, breaking, and skateboarding.
The 33rd edition of the games is held across 35 venues, mainly in Paris but also in other French cities like Lille, Marseille, Lyon, Nice, and the Pacific island of Tahiti.
