Powerful winds overturned a truck and uprooted trees as typhoon Kaemi slammed southern China.

The video was filmed in Fuzhou City in Fujian Province on July 25.

Strong winds at the coast shook fish rafts violently and generated waves several metres high. In Mawei District, a truck on the Qingzhou Bridge was overturned by the wind, and trees were uprooted.

Currently, Fuzhou's highway toll stations are only allowing exits, not entries.

At 10:32 a.m. on July 25, the Fuzhou Meteorological Observatory upgraded the typhoon orange alert to a red alert, warning residents to take precautions.
