Voice of an angel! Girl sings angelic hymn inside church cave
A girl sang an angelic hymn while walking around inside a Catholic church that looked like a cave in the Philippines.
Chrismabelle Benitez visited the Diocesan Shrine of the Holy Face of Jesus of Manoppell church for an event and serenaded her friends in Nueva Ecija province on April 13.
Footage shows Chrismabelle singing Salve Regina. Her voice echoed across the hall, filled with images and statues of Jesus and priests inside the stone church.
She sang Salve Regina, or Hail Holy Queen in English, which is in Latin.
She said: 'While other youths were busy, I asked my friend to help me take a video while singing Salve Regina. I also walked around while singing because I wanted to show off the beauty and sacredness of the place.'
Filipinos are predominantly Catholic due to the influence of Spanish explorers, who stayed in the archipelago for more than 300 years from 1565 to 1898. When Spanish explorers and missionaries arrived in the Philippines, they brought with them Roman Catholicism.
