This is the heartwarming moment two Filipino friends celebrated as the country won its second-ever Olympic gold medal.

Nina Angela Gonzales and her friend watched the TV nervously as Carlos Yulo competed in floor gymnastics at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Yulo, representing the Philippines in artistic gymnastics, won gold in the floor exercise final on August 3.

Following the announcement of his victory, the family erupted in joy at their home in Manila, Philippines.

The Filipino gymnast went on to bag the country's third medal in history when he claimed his another gold medal in the men's vault category at Bercy Arena on August 4. He became the first Filipino athlete to win multiple gold medals at the Olympics.
