A young woman born in the 1990s has turned everyday items like walnuts and bamboo into stunning miniatures, captivating many with her creativity in southern China.

The impressive video was filmed in Xiamen City in Fujian Province on August 1.

Chen Siwei, who has been passionate about crafts and painting since childhood, stumbled upon miniature art online during her third year of work. This novel art form sparked her deep interest, leading her to self-study and eventually turn her hobby into a profession.

Her journey began with a heartfelt tribute to her late grandmother, recreating her grandmother's room in miniature to honour her memory. This personal motivation drove her to master the intricate skills of miniature sculpting through online tutorials, investing countless hours to refine her technique.

Chen’s creations primarily feature indoor scenes brimming with life. She utilizes everyday items like pistachio shells, walnut shells, and cooling oil boxes to craft detailed mini-worlds. Her pieces are technically superb and emotionally resonant, evoking strong connections with viewers.

Among her remarkable works is a bamboo segment transformed into a five-room setup, including a living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, and bathroom, each with meticulous detail. This piece showcases her dedication to miniature art, blending realism and everyday charm.

Chen’s work extends beyond mere artistry; it embodies emotional depth, offering warmth and nostalgia to her audience. Currently, she has made miniature sculptures her career, showcasing her work on social media and accepting custom orders and commercial collaborations.

Looking ahead, Chen plans to continue honing her craft and tackle more complex miniature projects. She aims to elevate the art form, hoping to share and expand her appreciation for this unique craft while connecting with fellow enthusiasts to advance the world of miniature art.
