Brit holidaymakers love taxi driver so much they take him on all their excursions
British holidaymakers loved their taxi driver so much they took booked him for their entire trip - and took him on all their holiday excursions.
Yash Bhatia, 21, is on a mission to visit every country in the world - and has ticked off 55 so far.
The latest is Kosovo, and upon arrival in the capital Pristina, they booked cabbie Ragip for a trip.
But they enjoyed his company so much they booked him for the entire three-night holiday - paying him £200 plus the additional tips between the three friends.
And after hearing he hadn't explored many of the places he took tourists to, they took him along to the Bear Sanctuary, The American Avenue and plenty of pubs.
Yash and two friends and Ragip visited Four Paws Bear Sanctuary, pubs and restaurants in remote locations, and took him for hikes and even for pizza.
They went to the Bill Clinton monument and a restaurant dedicated to the former president, where they had £2.50 pizzas.
Yash, a student, from Leicester, said: "We met him in the middle of Pristina and asked him to show us around and he kindly accepted."
"One of the first things that we did was we went to the bear sanctuary. They had 20 bears which were all rescued."
"We spent a lot of time with the bears, and I would say Ragip is a cuddly character."
"We went to some pubs and got some food in some remote areas. We did a lot of karaoke during our journey into Kosovo."
"We tried to make sure we kept him entrained through carpool karaoke and talking about Kim Kardashian who he loved."
"Being a local taxi driver in many places is tough work with poor pay. "
"Ragip drove us across two borders to get to Montenegro from Kosovo and was the biggest lad the whole way through."
Yash flew from Madrid Barajas to Albania on May 4 and took a three-and-a-half hour bus trip to the Kosovan capital where they met Ragip.
Yash said: "He spoke about Bill Clinton. There is a whole avenue assigned to Bill Clinton - people love him over there."
"We spoke to people called George Bush which was really funny and Bush wasn't even their last name they were just named George Bush."
Since sharing his holiday with Ragip online, the driver's children have been in touch to say how much fun he had.
"My dad wants to go to Kosovo just to meet him and I'm sure he would happily accept," said Yash."
Yash started his quest to visit 197 countries in the world in September, 2021 and is funding it via his job he does on the side.
In the upcoming weeks, he will be travelling to Costa Rica and Belarus.
