A display stand collapsed at a convention and exhibition centre, injuring one person in southern China.

The video was filmed in Shenzhen City in Guangdong Province on August 18.

According to eyewitness footage, the display fell suddenly in the wind as crowds bustled outside the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Centre, causing panic and chaos among attendees.

Authorities later confirmed that a woman was injured in the accident and was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.

The Shenzhen Bao'an District Emergency Management Bureau reported that the collapse was due to strong winds and improper securing by the builders.

Relevant departments have since interviewed the builders, and the investigation is ongoing.

针对这一事件，相关部门已对涉事搭建方进行了约谈，具体情况仍在进一步调查中。
