This video captures a heart-warming moment inside a restaurant in Lu’an, Anhui.

A couple who run the restaurant had their 4-month-old baby with them. On 6 November, business was good and they ran out of rice, so the mother went next door to borrow some, leaving the baby in a pushchair.

The baby began crying and pushing backwards, slowly sliding towards the edge and about to topple out of the pushchair.

A diner who heard the crying kept glancing towards the pushchair. Realising the danger, he sprang up and ran over, catching the baby just as it was about to fall out. The baby was completely unharmed, but the man fell in the process and even injured his mouth.

The mother said her husband was busy in the kitchen and couldn’t hear what was happening outside. She expressed deep gratitude to the customer, saying that if he hadn’t caught the child, the consequences would have been unthinkable.
