Festivalgoers at Creamfields 2024 were caught off guard by the intense winds of Storm Lilian, which made staying in tents a daunting challenge. Despite warnings of a storm the night before, many didn't anticipate the severity of the situation until they were jolted awake at 6 a.m. to find their tents folding in on them. With tents collapsing and structures falling apart, attendees found themselves holding down their shelters from the inside, enduring the storm's powerful gusts until morning light.

We were warned of a storm the night before and told to stay in tents in the early hours of the morning. However we didn’t realise it would be that bad when we were woken up at 6am to the tent folding in on itself onto us and unable to do anything. Tents were falling apart and the only thing holding it down was us in it.
