USA: Westlake Car Shooting

08/28/2024 08:37 pm (GMT-0700) | WESTLAKE, LOS ANGELES – LAPD Rampart Division officers responded to a reported shooting with a victim in a parked vehicle Wednesday evening near the intersection of South Lake Street and West 3rd Street.
Officers arrived and located a victim of a gunshot wound. LAFD personnel responded and transported the victim to a local area hospital in unknown condition. A spokesperson for the LAPD told Key News Network the victim was conscious and breathing upon transport.
There were no additional details regarding the gender or age of the victim, and no suspect description was available.
A bullet casing was located on the victim's vehicle. One male subject was seen detained at the scene but was subsequently released.
