The Chief of the Defence Staff of Italy, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, arrived this week (Tuesday) for a visit to Israel as the official guest of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi.
The two chiefs of staff discussed challenges in the region, as well as the operational cooperation between the two militaries. During the visit, the Chief of the Defence Staff received strategic and security briefings from IDF officers, with a focus on the situation along the northern border and recent operational events.
Additionally, he met with the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, MG Amir Baram, and other senior commanders.
The IDF will continue to deepen the professional relations between the militaries out of a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation for the return of the stability of the region.
