United States: Glendora Bridge Fire in Angeles National Forest At 800 Acres

09/08/2024 03:00 pm (GMT-0700) | GLENDORA, Calif. – A wildfire in Angeles National Forest broke out Sunday afternoon north of Glendora. The fire has grown to 800 acres, forcing visitors and residents to evacuate.
A mandatory evacuation order was issued around 7:15 p.m. for Camp Williams Resort, including a mobile home park, campground facilities, and the adjacent river community. Highway 39 was closed at the mouth of the canyon, and all of East Fork, Glendora Mountain, and Glendora Ridge roads were closed.
Firefighters were performing an aggressive attack using air and ground resources.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
