Amusing footage of a large black bear standing on its hind legs and scratching its back against a tree trunk.

The video filmed on April 4 near Vancouver, Canada, shows the large animal with an itchy back doing what everyone loves seeing bears do.

The filmer later wrote online: "He was looking for something to soothe an itchy back.

"A tree that was planted by our kids almost 20 years ago turned out to be just what he needed."

"We're hopeful that he's finally found something that makes him happy, so that he can stop chewing our hottub cover to pieces," he continued.

A black bear walked through our backyard in Anmore, BC this morning. It's common in our rural area to see an abundance of wildlife. On this day, he did something that we had never seen before. He was looking for something to soothe an itchy back. A tree that was planted by our kids almost 20 years ago turned out to be just what he needed.
