Sean "Diddy" Combs was spotted hanging out in Central Park just hours before his arrest."

The rapper, 54, appeared relaxed, sitting on a knoll in New York, in the sun, seemingly unbothered by his latest controversies.

The video - which could be the last of him as a free man - was shot on Sunday.

Diddy was taken into custody Monday night in New York City by federal agents from Homeland Security Investigations.

The charges are unclear.

Damian Williams, the US attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), said the arrest was "based on a sealed indictment", a report said."

It follows Homeland Security's raids on the star's homes in Beverly Hills, California, and Miami, Florida, in March, according to reports.

"We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney's Office," Marc Agnifilo, Combs' lawyer said in a statement."

"Sean ‘Diddy' Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person but he Is not a criminal. "

"To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court."

Last week, Combs was ordered to pay a $100 million default judgment in a civil lawsuit brought by a Michigan inmate.

A Lenawee County Circuit Court judge established a payment schedule - aiming for Diddy to make monthly installments of $10 million - beginning on October 1.

The lawsuit - filed by Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith - claims the rapper drugged and sexually assaulted him at a 1997 party.

Following the court's recent ruling, Diddy's attorney criticized the decision, stating that his client was never served with the lawsuit.

"This man [Cardello-Smith] is a convicted felon and sexual predator, who has been sentenced on 14 counts of sexual assault and kidnapping over the last 26 years," Agnifilo told TMZ last week. "

"His resume now includes committing a fraud on the court from prison, as Mr. Combs has never heard of him let alone been served with any lawsuit. Mr. Combs looks forward to having this judgment swiftly dismissed," he added."

The lawsuit has added to the string of legal troubles that have plagued the hip-hop star in recent years.

In addition to this case, Combs is also facing several other lawsuits, ranging from racketeering to business disputes, which have brought increased scrutiny to his personal and professional life.
