Ahead of the seventh Chinese farmers' harvest festival which falls on Sunday this year, British expat Mark Winton visited a black soil and grain culture experience center in northeast China to gain a deeper understanding of Jilin's agricultural industry.

"It's harvest time again. It's amazing living in an agricultural province, and it makes it really wealthy. Now do you know what they grow in Jilin? Come with me. Let's go find out.
You know what, Jilin Province has three business cards. They are corn, rice, and grains and beans. When it comes to land, we have to mention the black soil in Jilin Province. The black soil is so thick. It's over 30 to 80 centimeters thick of pure fertile land. It is very famous here in Jilin, the black land.
Jilin Province's agricultural industry is moving towards robots. As you can see, in a large factory, there are very few people. There's nobody in such a large factory. Jilin soybeans and grains have produced some famous brands. With the good land in the province, I can see in the future that the agricultural industry will have lots of more famous brands."
